Some records arrive as a complete picture. MICK III – Fierce Love, Fierce Warrior is unfolding in chapters. Released on 3 May 2026, it is the third solo album from music producer Mickey Wynne, who releases music as The World of Mick. Its Bandcamp listing describes a 3/6/9 format: three tracks first, followed by six, then nine.
Fierce love, fierce warrior
The title places two powerful ideas side by side: affection with conviction, and strength with purpose. It leaves room for listeners to bring their own meaning. The album’s Bandcamp tags point to Americana, blues, folk and rock, with related singer-songwriter and blues-guitar influences.
Three tracks open the album
The first instalment gives listeners three songs to begin with:
- “Conch Town” — 3:16
- “Think Its Gonna Rain” — 3:52
- “Me ’n My Shadow” — 2:59
Each title suggests a different scene, while together the tracks introduce the wider MICK III project. The 3/6/9 format offers a way to follow the album as it grows, rather than treating it as a single one-day release.
Made by a close creative team
Mickey Wynne wrote and produced the album. The Bandcamp credits also name Flo Brey and Sam Ruthen for engineering and additional production, Joe Gibb and Mickey Wynne for mixing, and Pete Maher for mastering.
