I had Goa on my list for a good few years and then Sandy invited me out there to play.
South Goa has a thriving live music scene and the audience is a mixture of expats and holiday makers coming from other parts of India.
Although I played a couple of inland ones, most of the venues are on the various beaches in Goa, so it was a fabulous buzz to hear the sound of the sea as a backdrop to our music as we played our shows .
I really enjoyed the camaraderie out there, playing shows with other musicians as well as with Sandy who is no slouch as a singer in her own right.
Whilst out there I met a Mancunian character called Flakey who inspired me to write “Just Get On With My Life” which is now a contender track for my next album.
